Melbourne is a city in which many love the idea of expressing themselves through art. We know that art can take form in multiple different ways and is often used as an avenue for individuals to engage with their creative sense.
At Paint For Fun we believe every individual should explore their creative side. We love hosting you in our studio and coming up with new themes and classes for our attendees to enjoy! However now we want to put it over to you!
We recently launched our open studio sessions taking place every Wednesday from 11am to 6pm. Our studio will be available for you to visit and enjoy a creative break in the middle of your busy week.
Taking a page out of our partner company Dya Australia we are giving every individual the opportunity to engage and explore a different activity than they are usually used to as part of everyday life.
If you’re wondering who this might be a good idea for the answer is simply everyone however see below some groups that we think could really benefit from our open sessions!
- Children – out of school hours/ school holidays – from the ages of 4+ accompanied by parents, come along and let the little one creates from their imagination. They can get as messy as the like and paint as much as they want!
- NDIS clients – perfect for NDIS clients of all ages, allowing them to express their creative side and explore different and therapeutic experiences! Costs for this class can be claimed back through the NDIS scheme.
- Working professionals in Melbourne CBD or port Phillip city council – for professionals working in the Port Melbourne looking for a creative spark or to let some steam off after a day in the office.
- Social groups – great for groups between 3 – 10 looking to participate in a fun activity together, can be perfect for making new friends, practicing your painting skills and having fun.
- Tertiary students – Any tertiary students looking for a fun and creative activity to do either alone or with a fellow classmate. This activity is great for encouraging creativity and leaving you ready to tackle your next assessment.
- Anyone looking for a Wednesday hump day activity
The Details:
Entry into our studio is $12 with the ability to purchase canvases ranging from $8- $14. You can stay as long as you like and paint as many pieces as your heart desires!
One of our instructors will be in the studio to answer any general studio enquirers and offer some tips and tricks along the way.
Attended the Wednesday open workshop with a client. Ally was great. Very friendly. Played music while we painted and suggested different techniques.
Please note these events are completely self guided, you will not be taught how to paint a selected artwork. You can bring in your own reference photos for inspiration!
